At MountainGuard we believe that one of the best ways to manage claims is by reducing them in the first place. For over six decades, our claims specialists have fearlessly led the charge in delivering exceptional claims management and risk control services. We have assembled some of the most qualified licensed professional engineers in the ski industry, with over 400 years of combined experience. Our relentless pursuit of excellence has redefined the game, setting unprecedented standards for loss results. In addition to our in-house staff, we have a team of nineteen independently contracted loss control consultants who bring to our clients a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills that they have gained working in the business. This team includes professional engineers, ski lift department supervisors, former ski resort managers, patrol directors, and risk managers.

Loss control highlights:
 

• Loss control efforts are tailored to a particular client’s needs and focused on those areas that have the greatest impact on reducing their claims including lifts, on-hill winter and summer operations, tubing and freestyle terrain, and property preservation.
   
• Continuous industry involvement including representation in the NSAA, PSIA, NSP, ANSI B77 and Z98 Committees, ASDA and various state and regional associations.
   
• Loss control professionals are available to assist with training on a multitude of topics directly related to reducing risk at ski resorts.
   
• MountainGuard is the primary sponsor and key presenter for the NSAA Fall Education Series.
